A meeting of minds - Qatar National Research Fund presents awards to 47 researchers

Doha, 12th March 2008 - A significant contribution to Qatar’s national research vision was reached today when Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a Qatar Foundation center, signed agreements with representative institutions for the implementation of grants under the National Priorities Research Program (NPRP).

Qatar Foundation announce Qatar's first international research awards
Doha, 4th December 2007- Recipients of the inaugural awards from the NPRP have been notified of their success today. Administered by the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation, the $25 million is spread over 3 years, with $10 million being awarded in the first year.

Qatar National Research Fund announces 2nd UREP awards

Doha, 8th July, 2007- Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) is pleased to announce the funding awards for the second cycle of the Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP).

Fifty-one student research proposals have been awarded grants from across all academic areas: Arts and Humanities, Engineering, Health, Sciences and Social Sciences. Each student participating in the awarded research projects will receive a grant of up to $10,000.

Qatar’s Top Educational Establishments Benefit from Groundbreaking Undergraduate Research Program

On Tuesday 27 March 2007, Qatar National Research Fund, a project of Qatar Foundation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the administering of grants in the first cycle of the pioneering new Undergraduate Research Experience Program (UREP) at Weill Cornell Medical College, Qatar.

QNRF Announces Student Winners of Undergraduate Research Competition

In its first UREP cycle, QNRF will fund 61 projects, involving 119 students. Each student who is participating in the awarded research projects will get a grant of up to $10,000. The projects span all academic fields including Engineering, Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Health, and Social Sciences.
